Exercise Classes

Regular exercise is a crucial part of our lives and necessary for keeping our bodies strong and healthy and our moods positive. This gives us the ability to fulfil our daily needs and our life dreams.

If however movement is a challenge for you, it seems to be very difficult to find a suitable environment to meet your specific exercise needs.

We believe that exercise classes should be available to everyone and we have enjoyed developing group classes to suit these specific needs. The classes are small and can be developed around the group’s needs. We have balance and strength specific classes, classes for the older adult and pilates and yoga style classes. These are classes that focus on the participants direct needs and will change and progress as the group develops and improves.

The classes are friendly and non-threatening and will benefit anyone with specific needs. You could benefit from improved fitness as well as physical and emotional contact. The group would also act as a support group and provide an opportunity to meet people in similar situations

The groups will be run by qualified physiotherapists. An individual assessment is performed before the commencement of the group. This will enable us to place you in the group with the most suitable people. The exercise group will run for one hour.

The cost of the exercise group will be reasonable and is fully refundable by your medical aid. You will however be required to pay your account personally and then claim back from your medical aid.

We as a practice believe in good health and that a good quality of life is achievable for all who strive for it.
